Single Women Are Getting Married on Their Own
It’s hard to find someone who you want to spend the rest of your life with. There are countless romance novels, movies and TV shows revolving around woman’s hunt for the right guy who will sweep her off her feet. Well, some women have given up, or they have at least succumbed to the fact that if they can’t find the right man to marry, they can still get married anyway. This may sound odd, and it is odd. Where is it happening? A travel company in Kyoto, Japan is heading up this single wedding gig. They call it Solo Wedding.
They are fitted for a dress, they choose flowers and bouquets, they get their makeup and hair done, and they even pick out a male model. The male model doesn’t actually participate in the wedding, but the bride is able to take pictures with the guy.
Who is participating in these solo weddings? It’s mostly women who are just too busy to find a man, have given up on finding the right one or don’t want to go through with a real marriage to their current boyfriends. For now, the solo wedding seems to be going over pretty well. But the question posed by Alexei Beltyukov pertains to how this affects relationship? And I don’t know the answer to that one. What do you think?
