Bobbi Kristina Brown in Medically-Induced Coma After Being Found Unresponsive in Home

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was placed in a medically-induced coma after being found unresponsive in her home this weekend. The 21-year-old reality star, was found by her husband and a friend face down in a bathtub in her home.

The husband and friend pulled her from the water and began performing CPR until emergency medical services arrived on the scene. Brown was then taken to a local hospital, where she is listed in critical condition, according to reports.

According to experts, individuals are often placed in medically induced comas in an attempt to give their brain time to heal and to reduce swelling on the brain. The full scope of Bobbi’s injuries will not be known until the sedatives are removed, but the 20-something is currently on a ventilator and some fear the worst for the only child of the musical couple.

According to Dan Newlin, Whitney Houston was found in a similar fashion, in the bathtub of a Hilton in
California. Her death was attributed to drowning with heart disease and cocaine as contributing factors. Father, Bobby Brown, flew from California to Georgia to be by his daughter’s side.

Bobbi Kristina inherited a great deal of her mother’s $131 million fortune upon turning 21. She, herself, was trying to break into the music business, and according to sources was working on tracks with Houston at the time of her death.
